MyNI has teamed up with ‘Count Us In’ – a global community that aims to get 1 billion people to take steps to reduce carbon pollution over the next decade.
Why carbon pollution? Well, to put it simply, the carbon dioxide pollution we all help create through our daily activities is what is helping drive climate change. This pollution helps trap the heat from the sun and that means our planet is getting warmer.
For Count Us In, people power and lots of little steps adding up to big positives for the planet is the goal. But it’s not just down to you and me as Count Us In is also challenging world leaders to take action and create a global systems change.
Lots of different partners have come together to create Count Us In including TED and COP26 – the UN Climate Change Conference.
Count Us In has identified sixteen key steps that could make all the difference in tackling climate change – from cutting down on the food we waste, to walking and cycling more, as well as insulating our homes, dialling down the home heating and even wearing clothes that last instead of choosing fast fashion.
