coffee ground paste for use in facialsCoffee grounds make an excellent facial exfoliator! Not only will you save on an expensive trip to the spa, but the ingredients are also all natural! Just add a few tablespoons of your leftover coffee grounds to some coconut or olive oil. Gently buff the paste in a circular motion on your face.

Et voilà… fresh, healthy-looking skin.

Shiny shoes

Just rub the inside of a banana peel on your shoes to get rid of any scuff marks, then buff away the residue with a microfiber cloth to reveal lovely shiny shoes. Simples! (And be sure to throw your used banana peel in your food caddy).

Use a long piece of wire or string to create a hanging shape and attach both ends to the orange. Add some seeds and your DIY bird feeder is ready to go.

Crisps

Crips made from potato peelingsUse your potato peelings to make healthy homemade crisps. Spread your peelings on a baking tray and coat them well with oil and your chosen seasoning (salt/chilli flakes/paprika etc). Put them in a pre-heated oven (200’C) for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are slightly brown and crunchy. Enjoy! NB: You could also use carrot or parsnips peelings

Before you throw out your lemon leftovers, pop them in a small bowl of water and cook for a minute or two. Carefully remove the bowl and use a damp cloth to easily wipe away dirt.

Bonus: your microwave will smell nice, too!
