Reducing plastics could save you money on your daily coffee

Across the UK it's estimated that 1 in 5 of us visit a coffee shop every day. So here in Northern Ireland that makes around 200,000 (approx) visits every day. That’s around 1.4 million (approx) single-use cups every week and that's 72.8 million (approx) per year.

These cups are almost impossible to recycle because of the combination of plastic and paper in their design. The map below identifies cafes who welcome your reusable cup and will offer you an incentive to bring your own.

"The Conscious Cup Campaign was started in late 2016 by a group of concerned individuals who, inspired by similar initiatives of cafes and citizens around the world, are aiming to reduce and eventually eliminate single-use cups in Ireland."
